in Seine-Maritime (76)
A unique concept of orangery planters combining tradition, artisanal quality,
and eco-friendly materials while enhancing your outdoor space

Technical Sheet Customization of your orangery planters
in Seine-Maritime (76)

Our planters are built to last and be frequently handled. We have selected two types of wood: teak and Java acacia (Indonesia). These woods have been used for centuries in the shipbuilding industry due to their exceptional mechanical properties.

The strength and hardness result from the high natural oil content of the woods. Panel thickness: 2.5 cm and 3.2 cm from sizes starting at 120x120 cm.

The wood comes exclusively from plantations (established by the Dutch in Indonesia in the 19th century) – Eco-Friendly Plantation Grown Recycle Earth’s Resources Program.

Detachable panels equipped with galvanized steel reinforcements on the outside + *steel frame inside the planter capable of supporting up to 1.5 tons. Mortise and tenon assembly. Panel thickness: 2.5 cm to 3.2 cm.

* from planters of 65x65 cm and above

Design

The plant, which remains permanently in the orangery container, is more fragile than a plant growing in the ground. It therefore requires special care.

A genuine orangery container must have all four sides removable.

Why?

Over time, the plant will develop its root system in search of nutrients, which can eventually harm the tree itself. The plant weakens, making it essential to prune the roots and provide new soil. Removing the plant from the container is often difficult. The four removable sides make the process easier.

Our Usage Advice

You have purchased one of our orangery planters. We thank you for that.

To minimize micro-cracking and preserve the natural appearance of the wood, we recommend applying two coats of special exotic wood saturator during assembly (not necessary if the planter has been painted). This treatment should then be repeated once a year.

To protect the wood, a layer of diluted tar has been applied inside the planter. A protective sheet has also been placed inside.

Our Pro Tips for your bins with frame

Step 1: Lay the bin down after placing a blanket on the floor. Position the frame by pushing the folding sheet inside the bin.

Step 2: Stand the bin upright and press the folding sheet firmly to the bottom.

Step 3: Place the geotextile sheet at the bottom of the bin. You can now add 3 to 6 cm of clay pebbles for drainage, and the soil suited to your plant.

The bin’s feet must rest on a hard surface. We recommend placing a wooden shim under each metal foot (only applies to models with frames: 65x65cm, 75x75cm, 95x95cm, 120x120cm, 65x100cm, and 65x150cm). If you plan to install the bin on soft ground, place a metal plate or a flat stone under each foot.

"Over time, the plant you placed in the container will develop its root system at the expense of the upper part of the plant.
When you notice your plant weakening, it will become necessary to trim the roots and add new soil, which is why our containers are removable.
Initially, you can only disassemble 2 sides of the container and later disassemble the other two sides.
- Remove the 4 screws
- Remove the panel
- Cut the polyane sheet on one side (which you will fold back like the page of a book once the operation is complete)
- Trim the roots (using a spade, for example)
- Replace the polyane sheet and the panel
- Add soil to the empty part. "
